Build, manage, and track QR code engagement with QR Potato.
For one-off, static codes use: Adobe Express QR code generator.
I built this tool for myself. I need a simple tool to build, manage, and track QR codes and their related campaigns. Most of the existing tools require a paid plan in order to unlock tracking and management features. It's a nominal cost to share it with other folks for free. Enjoy.
No, all codes created with QR Potato are public, including any activity associated with their usage. All QR codes must be connected to a link for them to work properly.
All website communication is encrypted using SHA-256 with RSA Encryption. Passwords are stored using OpenBSD bcrypt() password hashing algorithm.
All codes are tracked using an HTTP redirect with a 302 (found) status code. The content embedded inside the QR code will look something like this: https://qrpotato.com/r/026d7465-22c1-4759-9de7-e3ae3109b391.
When a user interacts with the QR code, they will briefly hit our server before quickly redirecting to the target destination. We use this quick hit to our server to track visits.
QR Potato is free.
I may charge or limit usage in the future if hosting becomes a burden.
I will f*cking piledrive you if you mention AI again.
